On May 26th, 2013, I embarked on a new chapter of
my life. I finally joined the PTD scheme, well, as a cadet for now. Only after
a year, I will know whether I’ll get the job or not. But I heard, the job is already
yours but you just need attend this one-year training instead of 6 or 8 months
training. So I was like, yeah, why not. I have waited for this for almost three
years. Takkan lah tak boleh nak harung lagi setahun kan? So I just need to
endure this dengan sepenuh hati dan semangat yg jitu. *kononnya*
So after registration ended and all the stuff have been
safely placed in our rooms, we went to the Banquet Hall for opening ceremony. I
barely know all cadets here, just some familiar faces like Ashrul, Mubin and
Zhaf yg aku kenal. Supposedly KSN yg akan datang to officiate but last minute
kena replace dgn KPPA. Yada yada yada, program pon settled.
I think on the first night, dah kena buat physical exercise
kot kalau tak silap. Pastu ada announcement suruh kemas baju utk outdoor
activities for 3 days. So kelam kabut lah malam tu mengemas beg. The next
morning, we headed to Kem Lambaian Danau (KLD) for our very first module. KLD
module was great and challenging. I got to be the leader of the team, almost nk
volunteer jadi tok batin but I didn’t. Got to meet new people, fresh faces. Truthfully,
tak terasa nak ngorat siapa2 lagi kat sini. Plus, my objective here isn’t to
flirt. To gain as much knowledge as I can.
So after 3 days, we headed back to INTAN. The very first
weekend plak, I got to be the first project director utk all PTD cadets events.
Program sukan rakyat. Alhamdulillah it went well despite all the internal
issues kan. Done with that!
Today, July 21st, 2013, almost two months here
now. Alhamdulillah, semua modules dah selamat diharungi. Tak tahu lah cemana
results utk setiap assessment tu kan. Harap2 pass dgn jayanya. Selamat jugak
bertanding utk jawatan penghulu kadet tp tidak berjaya. Never mind, failures
are there to get you back up again. We’ll try again soon insya Allah. For now pun
dah pegang jawatan tok sidang. Dugaannya ya Allah, jangan cakaplah. Macam2
ragam. But not gonna go there. Deferring my judgment to them. Haa ayat geno dah
keluar.
Met new friends, getting to know each and every one of them
is a wonderful experience. It is not every day you get a chance like this. A total
of 100 cadets are here with thousands of attitudes and characters surely this
will be an exciting journey for the remaining 10 months.
And so, I end this entry with a thought to ponder. Maybe we
can learn something from this?
Unity is strength...
when there is teamwork and collaboration, wonderful things can be achieved.
