Hello!
This post will be about my recent module that I've gone thru. Module Tentera: Orientasi Pertahanan Negara.
So last two weeks, siding C & D went to Kolej Tentera Darat (KTD), Port Dickson to complete our module. A total of 51 cadets representing both sidangs took off from INTAN around 9am and we arrived around 1130am. We were taken to the quartermaster to take our stuff (set celoreng lengkap, boots and soldier bag). Heavy I tell you. Then we were given our room. Mine was at Wisma Siska 4 1-7. I had no roommate as the room next door cant be used due to door faulty. But takpelah, bathroom boleh guna sensorang. Hehehe. Unfortunately, tandas tersumbat pulak. Huhu sedeyh.
First day, we've had majlis pembukaan. We met the Komandan and CI. That's Chief Instructor if you didn't know. Also, we were introduced to Kapt Kay and Kapt Khairul. Garang seyh. And then, there's Q or Koperal Zaki. The nicest guy I've known. He took care of our welfare there. He was there at the dewan mes monitoring us, asking us whether are we comfortable with the room and food. Such a nice humble lad. Once done wih majlis pembukaan, we did evening's PT. That's when we met Staf Seniman. His famous sentence, 'pahe tak ni?', was made fun by the cadets as we, sometimes, heard it as 'palani?'. We laughed and laughed when we heard he said that. That night, we went to Wisma Perwira and had our dinner there. Supposedly ada ice breaking session but then again, they changed it to karaoke session. Still cool. Had fun.
Second day, duduk dalam auditorium and listened to talks & briefings. Some fell asleep and some did pay attention. Maybe we shouldn't have this session next time. Just my 2 cents. Hehehe. In the evening, we had senamrobik at the dewan serbaguna. It was so much fun. Then, at 630, we had the opportunity to listen to the sound of buggler. (betul ke eja tu?) It's like an appreciation to those fallen victims at the wars. Malam makan steamboat. Hebat makanan kat sini hee. Mau naik few kilos camni.
Third day, it rained that morning. Patutnya ada kawad tapi postponed pulak. So we learned on how to manage senjata. Bersihkan dan pasang senjata. Tp the journey to the hill utk sesi senjata ni mmg sangatlah memenatkan. Kesian to those yg kena bawak kotak air mineral ke atas. Belajar psl senjata dgn Staf Sarjan Ignatius. Nampak garang tp sebenarnya jiwang je kot rasanya. Hehehe. Petang tu, sukan bebas. Main futsal and volleyball. OKlah tu, ada jugak aktiviti sendiri kat KTD ni. BBQ night. Kambing golek. Terbaik!!!~
Fourth day, hari yg taknak dilalui langsung. Tapi sebelum tu, pagi tu kena belasah kat padang. Buat PT tempur. Side roll atas padang, push-ups and starjumps. Huh horror di pagi hari. Sabo ajelah. Malam ada Arabian Night. Bergaul dgn rekrut pegawai kat KTD. Seronoklah jugak sembang2 dgn diorang. Ade jugak met few friends masa study UIA dulu.
Fifth day, latihan abseiling and repelling. Best gilaaa. Dapat cabar diri sendiri utk atasi fear of heights. Lepas solat Jumaat, terus masuk hutan utk sesi survival. Dok la dalam hutan tu, cari base camp, pasang khemah, hunt for foods and berjaga malam. Lama tak buat survival ni, so it was an unforgettable memory la kot. Would love to do it again in the future. Hehehe
Sixth day, turun dari bukit terus masuk kelas. Semuanya kepenatan. Sebelum tu kena belasah dgn Kapt Roy sbb late to the class. Huhuhu. Then, petang, siap sedia kat Wisma Perwira utk Mes Night pada waktu malam. Layan Mann dulu while others having their meetings with Kapt Tay and Kapt Roy. Mes Night penuh dgn protocol. Makan kena tertib dan senyap. Huhuhu. Tp Alhamdulillah, kenyang hee :D
Seventh day, kelas kompas dgn Kapt Roy. Dia lambat, so patut kena denda lah kan? :P hehe we just let it passed. Masuk hutan Sime Darby and belajar guna kompas utk ke checkpoint B dari checkpoint A. Jarak 900 meter je tp rasa jauh sngt. Panas terik pulak tu. Tp redah sajorh , kuatkan mental diri utk go thru semua tu. Balik KTD naik bas classic gila. Macam naik bas mini. Hehehe. Ptg tu ada sharing session dgn CI. Masing2 meluahkan apa yg dirasa spjg berada di KTD. Macam2 isu berbangkit ada. Malam, dinner buat kali terakhir kat dewan mes. Nanti akan rindu. Huhuhu.
Final day, bertolak ke TUDM Subang.
Rasanya nak share sampai situ je kot. Hehehe. Maybe in the next entry, I'll talk about what happened in the previous week.
